Downloading and purchasing an FSD aircraft could not be more simple. Just follow these nine easy steps and you will be ready to fly!

1. When you click the Purchase link on our web page, you will be directed to our secure online shopping cart.

If you wish to purchase more than one aircraft just use the Continue Shopping button.

You will be directed to the main catalog page on our secure server. Simply chose the aircraft you want and it will be added to the shopping cart.

When you are ready to purchase press Check Out and you will be taken to the next step.

2. The order quantity and price are displayed. Click Next to continue, and you will be shown our EULA (End User's License Agreement). You must agree to the terms of the EULA to continue.

3. If you have been here before, you may have an existing account in our database. If this is the case, enter your password, and you can avoid filling in all of the information fields again.

Otherwise, fill in the required information highlighted yellow below, and select a password. This will be the password you use in case you visit us again, and also, it will be your license password that you use to unlock the software.  Pick any combination of letters or numbers you like (up to 20 characters).

Then press Next to proceed to the next step.

4. Select your method of payment. The following payment gateways are available:

• Visa

• MasterCard

• Discover

• American Express

• PayPal

Then press Next to proceed to the next step.

If you selected PayPal as you payment gateway you will be sent to the PayPal payment center for order processing.  Once the order is approved by PayPal you will receive a confirmation e-mail shortly containing your license ID, and the file download link.

Credit card customers will be presented with the account number and expiration date form fields.  Press next and your credit card will be processed through the VeriSign^® secure processing center. Momentarily, your credit card should be approved, and you will be taken to the confirmation page.  Here you will find your order information, License ID and password. Make a note of these, as they will be required to unlock the software.

Make sure you complete the fields highlighted below. We do AVS Security data checking for your protection. This data must match the account data at your credit card issuing bank. The CVV2 security number on the back of your card must also match for this same reason.

Upon acceptance of your credit card payment this confirmation page will be presented to you. The download link is prominently displayed. It's a good idea to save this page, even though a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you from our server.

5. Download the file to a directory on your hard drive. It is best not to download it to your desktop. Execute the installer from your hard drive.  The installer will automatically seek out the path to Microsoft Flight Simulator from your system registry. You can also browse to and install the files into any other directory if you wish. You can select installation in one version of Flight Simulator at a time.

When the installer starts you will see this introduction screen while he installer initializes.  This process could take a few minutes depending on the speed of your computer and the resources available.

Once the installer has initialized you will be presented with he main screen.

If the program does not find the path to Flight Simulator in the registry key that Microsoft created at the time you installed the simulator, a "Find" button will be presented that will allow you to browse to the root directory of Flight Simulator manually.

Note: Some of the older releases will install into both FS 2002 and FS 2004:

• Commander 115 TC

• Cheyenne 400 LS

• Piper Seneca V

• Pilatus PC6 Porter

• Piper Navajo

• Aerostar 700 Superstar

• Piaggio Avanti

6. Provided the installer find the location of FS 2004 on your system you will be instructed to press “Install”. Do this now to continue.

Activate Software

If you already have a valid license this process will not take place. In this case you can go directly to the Install Files process. The first time you install the aircraft, the License Validation dialog box will appear.  

If you downloaded the file and have not yet purchased a license you may do so now. Otherwise continue by selecting the Activate option.

To activate the software online (recommended method) follow the next steps. Otherwise, if you are not connected to the Internet, go directly to the Activate from another computer option.

Enter the license ID issued to you at time of purchase, and the account password you made when you created your FSD account. If you do not remember this data select the Where is my License ID link. This will take you to the request form on our web site. We can respond to your request with the data you need as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.  It is always a good idea to keep a good record of this data to avoid this step.

Otherwise, enter the data into the requested fields and press “Continue”

If license activation is successful you will see this screen. Then just select “Continue” to start the installation process. In this case go directly to the Install Files section.  Otherwise, you will receive an error message. If this is the case contact Tech Support here and make sure you accurately relate exactly what the error message says.

Activate From Another Computer

Activating from another computer is a more involved process that requires going back and forth between computers, and will take longer that the recommended online method. The Activate from another computer method is intended for those who do not have an Internet connection available on the computer where Flight Simulator is to be used.  To proceed with activation from another computer, run the file on the non-Internet connected computer (step 5 & 6 above), but this time select Activate From Another Computer.

Enter the license ID issued to you at time of purchase, and the account password you made when you created your FSD account. If you do not remember this data select the Where is my License ID link. This will take you to the request form on our web site. We can respond to your request with the data you need as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.  It is always a good idea to keep a good record of this data to avoid this step.

Otherwise, enter the data into the requested fields and press “Continue”

The system is going to create an HTML Internet browser page file for you to take to the Internet connected computer, so that you can obtain your product activation key from there. Save this file on a floppy disk or other transportable media. Remove that media with the new file and take it to you Internet connected computer.

Execute this file on the Internet connected computer. You can do this directly from the floppy you used to transport it, or you can move it to a directory on that computer’s hard drive.  It will work either way.  You will be directed to your personalized product activation page. Make sure the data is correct and press “Next”:

Follow these instructions on the following page. Select the link to download the activation key. Make sure you download this and save it on your floppy or other transportable media.

Save this file to the same floppy from which you transported the HTML file.

Take the floppy or other transportable media back to the non Internet connected computer and move this key file to any folder on the same hard drive/partition where Microsoft Flight Simulator exists. This should also be the same drive/partition where you are attempting to install the aircraft.

From that temporary directory from your hard drive, double click the reg key. You will be asked if you want to add this data to your registry. Select “Yes”

You should then receive a message that the data has been added to your registry.

Run the installer on the non-Internet computer again (see step 6).

If license activation is successful you will see this screen. Then just select “Continue” to start the installation process. In this case go directly to the Install Files section.  Otherwise, you will receive an error message. If this is the case contact Tech Support here and make sure you accurately relate exactly what the error message says.

If you receive this message instead it means the data files you transported became corrupted. In this case you simply need to start the process over again.

8. Once the license is validated you will be asked to review and agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA) once more. Installation cannot proceed without acceptance of these terms.

9. Installation of files will then proceed. You can monitor the progress of the installation process as it takes place.

If the installation was successful you will see this confirmation. If not, or if you halted installation part way through, an error message will be displayed.
