Note The Load Manager and damage/failure modeling are only available for FS 2004 installations. |
| The Commander 115 TC Load Manager is an
add-on paint scheme
management utility, and a weight
and balance configuration program. It automatically
formats your Flight Simulator configuration files at the touch of a
button.
It also controls and manages the new Aircraft Maintenance System incorporated into the gmax Commander. |

When formatted properly, the paint scheme's configuration files will show the author's description [2], and a screenshot image of the paint scheme [1]. The custom description will also show in the Select Aircraft menu in Flight Simulator. |
Many real-world realism features, not normally incorporated in Flight Simulator aircraft, are incorporated in the Commander 115 TC. These include enhanced engine damage modeling and many flight dynamics parameters which model their real-world counterpart.
Engine Damage Modeling
Unlike typical FS aircraft, you cannot continually push the Commander's engine beyond it's limits without consequences. Particularly in low-level/low-speed flight, where air cannot circulate throughout the cowling as efficiently, and heat is not dissipated well. Operating the aircraft at maximum rated power during low-level/low-speed flight can result in failure of the engine.
Any damage sustained by the engine during your flight will persist in your next visit to the aircraft/simulator until you repair it using the Load Manager. You will not be permitted to start or operate the aircraft with a damaged engine. Rebooting the aircraft or the simulator alone will not repair the engine.

Accumulation of total fuel used (1), fuel cost
(2) and price (user editable), international currency basis (3) and total
fuel and engine maintenance cost (4) are displayed here.
The Engine Status window (5). shows current engine time, next recommended maintenance time, next engine overhaul recommended time, and operational status. If operational status shows Damaged, the engine can be repaired here (6). Regular maintenance, at 20 hour intervals, can also be selected here (7).
