The SportStar is the
first aircraft approved by the FAA in the U.S. S-LSA
category and was awarded the prestigious "S-LSA Aircraft
of the Year" honor from AeroNews Network.
This amazing plane compares remarkably well to a
top-flight GA airplane, with a comfortable wide cockpit
with large instrument panel full of standard IFR gauges
and a GPS/WAAS glass display that compares favorably for
pilots used to a Bonanza or a Cirrus. |

Light Sport
Aircraft
In creating the new Light Sport Aircraft (LSA)
classification of planes in 2004, the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) filled the much-needed performance
and price gap between less sophisticated ultra-light
aircraft and larger, more complex transportation focused
aircraft. Since LSA are targeted to recreational pilots
who primarily fly for fun, LSA are designed to be
affordable, lightweight, and easy to operate. All
aircraft are classified as S-LSA are factory built,
ready-to-fly aircraft.
