1. |
When you run the
installer, the very first screen you
will see will ask you to choose the
version of Flight Simulator into
which you wish to install the new
paint scheme. As the file structures
in Flight Simulator 9 and Flight
Simulator X are different this is
very important. |
| |
 |
| |
Make sure the
path to Flight Simulator is correct.
Otherwise the files may not be
installed into the correct location: |
| |

|
|
2. |
The installer
will check the recorded location for
each version of the Porter. If the
version (Landplane, Amphibian,
Skiplane) is found the checkbox will
be enabled. Otherwise a "Find"
spyglass button will display. |
| |
 |
| |
A dialog
will appear allowing you browse to
the location of that particular
version of the Porter: |
| |
 |
| |
If the files are
not there and you do own this
version of the Porter you may need
to reinstall it. |
| |
|
|
3. |
Select the
version(s) of the Porter into which
you wish to install your new paint
scheme. |
| |
 |
| |
|
|
4. |
Press "Install"
to proceed with the installation. |
| |
 |
| |
|
|
5. |
Progress of the
installation process will be
displayed on the user interface. |
| |
 |
| |
|
|
6 |
The installer
will report on the success/failure
of the installation. If successful,
you will be prompted to run the Load
Manager(s). This step is very
important, as the Load Manager will
configure the new paint scheme for
use in Flight Simulator. |
| |
 |
| |
|
|
7. |
When the Load
Manager starts press "Save". This
will put the necessary entries into
your aircraft.cfg file. Otherwise
your new paint scheme will not show
up in the Flight Simulator
Select
Aircraft menu. |
